The IrelandWays.com / CaminoWays.com team would like to thank you all our customers and friends for your support in 2014 and wish you a very Happy Christmas and wonderful New Year. 2014 has been an exciting year:
Our first walking festival took place in July to celebrate Saint James Day in Ireland with hundreds of walkers taking part. Our free monthly walks also gathered a good number of walking enthusiasts so we’ll be back on the trails in the New Year.
Many groups and charities travelled to the Camino de Santiago and the Via Francigena to raise thousands for very worthy causes.
New routes such as the Portuguese Coastal Way were created, with fantastic response from walking enthusiasts.
We were also very proud to support Justin and Patrick from I’ll Push You on their inspiring journey on the Camino Francés. The intrepid friends will be finishing their film in the New Year and we are looking forward to seeing the final result.
I travelled to Korea and Japan to promote the Camino de Santiago, also taking the chance to trek the Kumano Kodo (the Japanese Camino), another UNESCO-listed pilgrimage trail. We also took part in the Adventure Travel Summit in Killarney, WTM London and many other travel events in Ireland and the UK.
We started the year launching our bright and shiny new website and we finish the year with a new arrival to the family: IrelandWays.com, a fantastic selection of the best walking trails in Ireland, as well as cycling the great Wild Atlantic Way all along the West coast of the country.
It has been a fantastic year and we are looking forward to sharing more news and adventures with you in the New Year.
Stay tuned for more news in 2015!
